Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some of our most FAQ's but of course if you want to ask a different question or want to talk about your individual needs, please contact us anytime
Q: How often should beginners practice yoga?
A: It depends! Start small and build it up. A short stretch and some breathing exercises could be done every day if you want to see results, but perhaps start with a longer class 1-3 times a week depending on your schedule and what you’d like to get out of your yoga practice
Q: Do I need to be flexible to start yoga?
A: Absolutely not! Yoga is for everyone, regardless of your current flexibility level. Flexibility improves with time and practice and the physical aspect of yoga is only one part.
Q: Can I do yoga if I have injuries? A: Yes, but it’s important to inform us so we can offer advice and support. Most injuries and health issues can be improved by yoga and many poses can be modified to accommodate your needs including knee and back issues. Listen to your body and ask for advice if something doesn’t feel right for you,
Q: What should I wear to a yoga class? A: Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows you to move freely. Yoga is done barefoot or you can wear non-slip yoga socks if you prefer.
Q: Do I need a yoga mat or any other kit? A: We do provide mats you can borrow at the studio, but it’s a good idea to get your own for hygiene reasons.
